OUR SHADOW AS OUR ALLY:
Carl Jung brought us the concept of the shadow. When we work with shadow in therapy, we confront aspects of ourselves that are hidden from us. These disowned parts or qualities cause us shame and guilt and bring up trauma responses, distorted expression, and unhealthy coping strategies. During these difficult times, our shadow offers us a view into what is going on underneath.
Equally as challenging is his concept of the Golden Shadow. Our Golden Shadow holds all our brilliance and potent possibilities and positive aspects that we deny and push aside in our search for acceptance, modesty, and self-preservation. These are the same qualities that will help us persevere in the uncertainty of this pandemic.
Join us and take this opportunity to explore ways to work with both sides of the shadow and start to turn our shadow into an ally. Learn action-oriented interventions and theories that are trauma-informed and adaptable to any population. This workshop will enhance your understanding of Jung’s insightful dynamic, the SHADOW, and practice ways to move clients toward self-acceptance and integration of their full self with more conscious clarity

STOP THE DRAMA WITH PSYCHODRAMA
Understanding the Karpman Drama Triangle
Orlando Psychodrama Training
Trauma-Informed Experiential Action Methods
Stephen Karpman and Transactional Analysis examined how we all unconsciously play different roles in our relationships in order to try to keep ourselves safe. The 3 roles are
VICTIM; RESCUER; PERSECUTOR.
Although we play ALL the roles, we usually have one that we habitually occupy. Which role we favor is based on learned behaviors from childhood. When on the drama triangle, interactions never lead to mutually satisfying connection.
Experience how psychodrama can help you identify a client's "home base"; discover effective ways to conceptualize how we move around the triangle, and learn strategies to move clients out of this unfulfilling dynamic. Understanding how the Karpman Drama Triangle functions can apply to work with individuals, couples, groups, and families.

Bibliodrama uses sociodramatic interventions to explore literature and the written word in action.
During this time of uncertainty, hope is an important intra-psychic strength that will help us remain grounded, connected and engaged. On the other hand, isolation and hopelessness fosters depression, loneliness and despair.
This workshop will use Bibliodrama to access hope for ourselves and our clients.
Come join us as we identify exercises with the written work to foster faith in better days.
Through sociometric connection, learn and experience doubling, role reversal and other techniques in bibliodramatic enactments that will revive hope and build resiliency.
SMALL IN-PERSON GROUP
All efforts will be made to safely meet in person by sitting 6 feet apart; requiring masks; offering face shields; limiting participants to 7 (8 with trainer); available disinfectant/sanitizer; and hand-washing breaks.
