Who is Julie Wells LCSW, CP, TEP
Julie Wells LCSW, CP, TEP is a licensed clinical social worker and nationally certified trainer, educator and practitioner in psychodrama, sociometry and group psychotherapy. She holds a BSW and MSW from the University of South Florida and AA in Human Services with over 20+ years trauma-informed post graduate education.
Her counseling experience includes working with teens and adults in individual, couples and group therapy settings working on a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, couples/family dynamics, and empowerment/co-dependency. Her therapeutic orientation is eclectic incorporating CBT, EFT, interpersonal dynamics, and psychodrama meeting clients where they are.
Julie is also director and founder of Suncoast Psychodrama Training. Created by JL Moreno in 1921, psychodrama is a method of group psychotherapy in which a person enacts the problems and relevant events of their life. It can also be used in individual and group settings. Neuropsychology shows how trauma can be healed through embodied practices. Psychodrama has the capacity to restructure people's internal maps of their relationship to themselves and the world around them.
